The West Virginia Farm Museum will host its annual Fall Festival October 1-2, on the grounds of the Museum, just north of Point Pleasant in Mason County.

“The Farm Museum really is one of the treasures of West Virginia,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Gus R. Douglass. “They have a number of heritage events on the grounds during the year, and the Fall Fest is one of the best. Everyone should pay a visit at some point during the year.”

Events slated for the annual Fall Festival weekend include an antique gas & engine show, Gravely swap meet, apple butter and cider making, sorghum making, vegetable soup made outside in an iron kettle, antique bottle show and clogging. The Country Store and kitchen will also be open during the Festival.

Other events slated for the Festival are:

? Antique Tractor Pull (Saturday only at 1 p.m.)
? Gunslinger Show (Sunday at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.)
? Church Service in log church (Sunday at 9 a.m.)
? Gospel Sing (Sunday at 1:30 p.m.)
? Biggest Pumpkin Contest (Saturday only)

The Museum includes a building full of antique farm equipment, as well as historical buildings that have been moved to the grounds throughout the years. It is open Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., April 1 through November 15.
